๐Ÿš€ The Opportunity

We're looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to help ensure the financial health of our global organization. You'll play a key role in managing day-to-day accounting operations, strengthening financial processes, and providing accurate, timely financial information that supports informed decision-making.

๐Ÿš€ What You'll Be Doing 

General Accounting & Financial Close

  • Manage general ledger activities and prepare journal entries, including revenue recognition, payroll allocations, grant activity, indirect cost allocations, and other adjustments.

  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.

  • Perform account reconciliations and maintain supporting documentation.

  • Prepare financial reports and ensure the accuracy and completeness of accounting records.

Revenue, Grants & Program Accounting

  • Manage accounts receivable, invoicing, revenue recognition, cash application, and collections.

  • Support accounting and reporting for government, corporate, and foundation grants.

  • Monitor grant expenditures, budget compliance, and financial performance.

  • Prepare grant reports, reimbursement requests, reconciliations, and closeout schedules.

  • Partner with program staff on billing, reporting, and financial analysis.

Accounts Payable, Payroll & Cash Management

  • Review accounts payable and payroll transactions for accuracy, proper coding, and compliance with policies.

  • Reconcile payroll, bank, and other balance sheet accounts.

  • Monitor cash activity and support cash flow reporting.

Audit, Compliance & Regulatory Reporting

  • Prepare audit schedules and supporting documentation for annual audits.

  • Assist with Form 990, 1099 reporting, and other regulatory requirements.

  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, grant requirements, organizational policies, and internal controls.

Systems & Process Improvement

  • Maintain accounting system data and related financial records.

  • Support process improvements, automation initiatives, and documentation of accounting policies and procedures.

  • Recommend efficiencies that strengthen financial controls and reporting.

Other Responsibilities

  • Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned

๐ŸŽฏ What We're Looking For

Education

โœ” Bachelorโ€™s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required

โœ” Masterโ€™s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred

โœ” CPA preferred

Experience

โœ” 5+ years of progressive accounting experience

โœ” Nonprofit and grant accounting preferred

โœ” U.S. GAAP and financial reporting

โœ” ERP systems (e.g., Unanet, Oracle, NetSuite, SAP) are preferred

โœ” Budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes

โœ” Grant accounting and donor compliance requirements are preferred

โœ” Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools (e.g., Power BI)

โœ” Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy

โœ” Outstanding analytical, financial modeling, and problem-solving skills

โœ” Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

๐Ÿ’ฐ Salary range: $75,000 - $90,000 annually

๐Ÿก Fully remote working

๐ŸŒ Monthly internet allowance: $50

๐Ÿ’ป Company laptop and equipment 

 ๐Ÿ– Paid 20 vacation days, 10 sick days, and public holidays
